Journal Friends® Plush Toy Line

  • Role: Graphic Designer

  • Tools: Adobe Creative Suite

  • Objective: Execute end-to-end product design, packaging architecture, and brand identity for a line of 12 retail plush toys.

  • Impact: Successfully brought the product line from concept to market debut at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

Taking a consumer product from a loose concept to a retail debut requires managing a massive web of moving parts. I directed the visual identity and physical execution of the Journal Friends® line, personally designing half of the initial roster. Beyond the character art, I engineered the factory tech packs for all 12 SKUs, forged the brand logo, and authored both the packaging architecture and the narrative backstories. It culminated in a highly successful launch at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

Overview of the Toys

The below gallery features photos of the physical products, both in and out of their packaging, the back of their boxes, and character illustrations featured in box artwork and each journal’s included pencil.

Marketing Presentation for Retailers

This presentation was created to show to potential retailers, as directed by the VP of Sales (despite my reservations about some of the artwork used).
